Fashion’s ongoing love affair with floral prints continues for 2013 with a myriad of designers offering up their take on the iconic pattern.

Dandelions bloom at Valentino; Dries Van Noten and Rochas picked chrysanthemums, while Bottega Veneta scattered silk marguerite daisies on a V-neck dress.

This season’s ‘modern floral’ is above all chic and strong, with prints giving covered up looks a romantic fairy-tale spin.

Nell Mcandrew looked glam and sophisticated whilst opening The Professional Beauty Show 2012 at ExCel on March 4, 2012… wearing pieces from none other than Fashionpony.co.uk‘s own resident fashion designer, the internationally acclaimed Bo Carter!

Nell wore the Bo Carter Signature Dress – £55, then styled it up by overlaying the Bo Carter Sheer Black Top – £40. The look was (literally) pulled together with a black patent belt that cinched in her tiny waist. Black heels completed the ensemble.

A slick of vibrant red lippy – expertly matched to the colour pop buttons on the glamorous sheer top – was applied by top makeup artist Daniel Sandler, who also was also in attendance at the show. The lipstick is ‘Eve Red’ from All For Eve range for the Eve Appeal .

Miley Cyrus working the Skull Trend

One of the hottest – yet still most unique – trends being increasingly seen on the streets and in Hollywood, is the mightily macabre Skull Print.

Graduating from its goth roots, it is fast becoming the fashionista’s fashion staple of choice.

The Skull Print’s transition to fashion mainstream was kick-started by the popularity of the ubiquitous Alexander McQueen Skull Scarf.

For A/W ’12 (or Fall ’12, dependent on the country and/or designer) a whole host of designers paid tribute to the Jodphur style.

Gucci A/W 12

Gucci fashion house, thanks to its creative director Frida Giannini, showed several Jodphur style pants in different fabrics worn with cloaks and blazers.

Presenting an image of woman that is at once both androgynous and romantic, Gucci strutted down the catwalk to show just how striking and strong a look the Jodphur trouser can create.

Working with a primary palette of black, Gucci also ultilised woodland green, blue and purple.

Designers such as Prada and Miu Miu also reinvented the trousers by modernizing the prints by adding bold colors choices ranging from magenta, purple and emerald.

Royalty and celebs alike have embraced the fascinator trend

Several stars have been inspired to accessorize with fun Fascinators, just like Kate. There’s no denying that the girl knows how to rock a traditional British hat—most specifically, the Fascinator – and Kim Kardashian, Cheryl Cole and Sarah Jessica-Parker are just some of the celebs who have followed the Duchess’s lead and embraced the trend.
