Katie Newsam, a Yorkshire-based fashion designer whose collections were shown at last year’s Urban Music Awards in London is to make her stunning designs available through online fashion boutique, Fashion Pony.
To help celebrate the agreement between Katie Newsam and Fashion Pony, Capital FM’s JoJo, will help fashionpony.co.uk launch the new range by wearing one of Katie’s dresses at tonight’s RAG Fashion Show in Leeds.
Jojo, who is already a huge fan of Fashion Pony, and who is also helping to host tonight’s RAG Fashion Show 2011, was more than happy to wear one Katie’s designs after seeing a number of dresses during a recent Fashion Pony meeting held at Capital FM in Leeds.
Katie graduated with a degree in Fashion Studies from the University of Lincoln in 2009. Since graduating Katie has been commissioned to create designs for a top salon in Lincoln to help them celebrate their Anniversary Catwalk Show.
Katie has also showed her ‘Toxic Mechanics’ collection at a Fashion Show in Valmont Club, Chelsea in 2010 – Katie also created her ‘Tribe’ collection and both collections were shown at the Heart Fashion Show held at the Bush Hall in London, where Katie was the headline designer.
Katie’s stunning designs were also shown during the 2010 Urban Music Awards in London.
Katie’s designs will be launched on fashionpony.co.uk on 7 March.
